The ingredients needed to make Besan Rava Laddu:
  1. Take 1, 1/2 cup besan
  2. Make ready 1/4 cup rava
  3. Prepare 1 1/4 cup sugar
  4. Make ready 1 cup ghee
  5. Prepare 1 tsp Little cardamom/elaichi powder
  6. Take As required Water for sugar syrup
  7. Take As required Badam, cashew nuts chopped into small pieces
Instructions to make Besan Rava Laddu:
  1. Take a thick bottom Kadai and heat it. Pour ghee in the Kadai. Then add besan to it.Also add rava and on low flame mix it without lumps.
  2. Keep stirring it continuously on low flame so that besan does not get burnt.
  3. Meanwhile take another Kadai and add sugar.Pour water only till the sugar immerses in it. That is around water. Heat it on low flame and boil it till we get 1 string consistency sugar syrup. Add elaichi powder to it. You can put few drops of syrup on a plate and with wet hands take little syrup between thumb finger and index finger can check for one string consistency.
  4. While preparing sugar syrup keep stirring the besan mixture continuously. Add the remaining ghee to the mixture.
  5. The colour of besan changes and you get nice aroma.It takes around 12 to 15 minutes. Add finely chopped badam and cashew nut pieces to the besan mix. Now slowly add one string consistency sugar syrup to the besan mixture and mix well. Remove from the stove and allow it to cool.
  6. While it is little warm take some mixture in your palm and with the help of fingers make laddu.
  7. With the remaining besan mixture finish making laddus with above procedure.
